Skill games are a broad category of games that include card games, board games and even video games. But video games are hardly included in this category since they are huge in number. As the name says, these games cannot be won merely by luck. They need a lot of skill and strategy from the player.

The famous Rummy too falls under the category of skill games. This is played by 2-4 players. The underlying strategy is to see that the player can lay off all his cards by the end of the game. The player playing his turn strategizes and either picks up a card from the lot or the card discarded by the previous player. Once he has accumulated 30 points, he can lay the cards in a sequence.

Rummy is a simple game and even a joker has quite significance and adds it the fun in this game.  This can be played in any get together.
